As I've said before I'm a HUGE fan of my Sleep Mate white noise machine which Holly used with Isabelle and I still use with Lucy. That being said, I've had numerous requests for the Sleep Sheep sound machine and today we finally got them! These adorable stuffed sheep can be attached to your little ones crib and offer four soothing sounds to help children sleep: mother's heartbeat, spring showers, ocean waves, and whale songs. There are quite a few moms that swear by them and they have won numerous awards and "seals of approval".
They also come in a smaller more portable "on the go" version with a velcro strap that makes it easy to attach to any car seat, stroller, or pack and play.
OK...so now if someone could just explain to me what "whale songs" are?

Who doesn't love a baby belly?
I've heard of it, seen it on TV, and pondered if I'd ever want to do it and now we have Belly Casting Kits available at Pout! I most recently saw Kendra from the Girls Next Door fame make a Belly Cast on her new reality show's "baby special". I think these are such a fun way to cherish your baby belly in all it's glory. Sure, it's not for everyone but for just $24.99, what do you have to lose right?
So...what do YOU think of the Baby Casting idea? Have you done it? Would you do it? Thoughts?

Itzbeen Baby Care Timer is HERE!
ITZBEEN™ Baby Care Timer was developed by a new mom and dad who found themselves sleep-deprived and needing help to remember baby care details, such as when their baby last ate or napped. They tried charts and journals, but thought there had to be a better way. So, they created the ITZBEEN™: a multi-purpose nursery tool that helps new parents remember the basic details of baby care.
Four timers help new, sleep deprived parents remember and communicate the basics of baby-care, like: how long ago they changed a diaper, fed the baby, put them down for a nap, or gave them medication. Each timer can also give a reminder at certain intervals, if desired. Other helpful features include: belt clip, nursing reminder switch, illuminated display, clock, and a soft nightlight for changing diapers in the dark. Designed specifically with the needs of a new parent in mind. I know I could've used this when Lucy was first born as I could barely remember my name let alone what time I changed the last diaper!
This is a definite must have for all new parents and it even comes in three fun colors: blue, pink, and green.

YOU SERIOUSLY ROCK!
I am absolutely inspired by all of your generous hearts! Just look at what many of you were so kind to donate to the children of Haiti...
Pretty sweet photography huh?
One of my favorite customers from McIntosh, MN sent a whole box of donations that she had collected for us along with some notes & pictures from some of her students. My favorite was the one that said. "I'm sorry. It's my birthday!". Gotta love little kids!
I had to itemize all the "goods" before packing it up at check out this breakdown:
88 onesies!!!
25 blankets
14 pj's/sleepers
31 outfits
91 seperates (shirts/pants/shorts)
8 pairs of shoes
26 pairs of underwear
7 sweatshirts
5 small stuffed animal/toys
Seriously people?!? Even I couldn't believe how much stuff we had collected until I started going through it. As I was packing it up, I just kept thinking of all the sweet children that NEED things as basic as clothes/shoes/blankets and was proud to be able to feel like we have made a difference in their lives. Yes, in the grand scheme of things, it is a SMALL difference in comparison to what these children need but it is something.
We alway knew we had the best customers ever but this just proves it! THANK YOU!

a few things....
So far the response from the Cutest Little Babyface contest has been great! We are so excited for everyone to get the chance to show off their babes.
I also want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who have dropped off donations for the children in Haiti. I have been truly overwhelmed by your gracious donations. If you didn't see the post or receive the email, page down to last weeks post explaining the details. I will be accepting donations through 6pm tomorrow and shipping them on Thursday morning so they can get to those in need. I also wanted to mention that Lena K in downtown Fargo is accepting adult donations as well in exchange for a 20% OFF coupon for her beautiful shop. As moms, I know it's hard for us NOT to think of the children first and foremost but there are also teenagers, adults, and elderly people in dire need as well. Please remember all items donated must be NEW and UNUSED.
And finally, I wanted to let all of you know that we are in the final stages of getting our online shopping up and running so stay tuned for that exciting announcement! I know many of you have been asking for this since we opened and we are so happy to be able to offer our products online soon.
Thanks again for all of your support!

The children of Haiti need our help.
As I'm sure most of you are aware, Haiti has suffered MAJOR devastation from the recent 7.0 magnitude Earthquake that hit just days ago. After doing some research and talking to my friend Karissa over at Lena K in Downtown Fargo, I've found a way for us to make a small difference to the children of Haiti that have been affected by this horrible tragedy. Hundreds of thousands of people including babies and children have lost everything and they need help. In coalition with the non-profit organization Kids in Distressed Situations, Pout will be collecting NEW and UNUSED infant/childrens clothing, blankets, and/or shoes to be sent to those in need.
It Starts with One... and Reaches Millions
The idea behind K.I.D.S. is simple. One caring response to one child in the crisis of poverty, with one donation of a new piece of clothing or shoes. It’s about one gift, to one child at a time that builds hope, self-esteem and an opportunity to succeed.
In exchange for your donation, I would like to offer you a coupon for 25% OFF ONE REGULAR PRICED ITEM.
Please remember all items MUST BE NEW and unused. I will be collecting items through next Wednesday and will ship them Thursday morning.
If you aren't in the Fargo-Moorhead area and would like to help, you can go to www.kidsdonations.org for more information.

Who do you love?
My head is still spinning from the holidays and it's hard to believe that Valentines Day is right around the corner! I got my first reminder today when our new "Love Bug Hug" Piggy paint nail polish gift packs arrived. If there is a little girl in your life that you need a Valentine gift for, this is it!
If you're not familiar with Piggy Paint, it's a great line of non-toxic fingernail polish for your little ones. No smelly odors, no toxic chemicals, and no damage to your precious little ones nails or the environment. Or as they like to say "as natural as mud". We've also found that this is a popular item for expecting mommas as regular nail polish contains formaldehyde and other toxic ingredients that aren't safe for anyone let alone a pregnant woman!
Only little boys in your life? We've got stuff for them too....
Also, all of our See Kai Run shoes as well as lots of Fall clothing are at least 20% off as we are expecting our 1st Spring shipment to arrive in February!! Stop in and check out all the mark downs.

Moby
MOBY is a spout cover that brightens up the bath while protecting baby's head from bumps in the tub. Its sleek design includes an adjustable fin strap that fits snugly on most tub spouts, and a tail that's also a handy hook, so MOBY can hang around when bath time's done. We also carry an adorable tub toy organizer in the same color. CUTE!
In other news...Holly and I brought the girls to "The Princess & the Frog" last night and the girls LOVED it! It was Lucy's first movie in the theater so Isabelle was happy to show her the ropes and told her that "we have to be REALLY quiet and can't talk during the movie". The funniest part about that is that less than halfway through, the two of them were the rowdiest in theater talking to the screen, talking to each other, and laughing away! It's a good thing there was barely anyone else there. I wish I could've captured it on camera because it was adorable to see them munching away on popcorn and candy staring up at the big screen.
Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!
