Spring is coming...really it is.

It may not seem like it but Spring really is on it's way. I'm PATIENTLY waiting for the arrival of more Spring items and I'm ready for the SUN! We did get something in today that is great for those outdoor picnics, softball games, and lake days that are quickly approaching. After some great recommendations from customers who have used them, I finally broke down and ordered the JJ Cole Essentials blanket. Not only does this great blanket fold up into a great over the shoulder bag, but it's made of water-resistant material that can be wiped up easily. This is the perfect blanket to keep in your car for those unexpected outings. Check it out...

Now hurry up and get here Spring!

Mealtime fun!

We just got in some adorable new plate and silverware sets today and I had to share! How adorable are these?

In the past year and half that we've been open these plates have been our best selling of all that we've carried! They are great because they suction to the table/high chair so your little one can't throw it on the floor. Not to mention the great silverware that is small for little hands but actually picks up food unlike a lot of kids utensils. And the best part? They even come in a little case so you can easily pop them in your purse or bag and take them along with you.

I also wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the people who attended this past weekend's Baby Signs Story time! We had lots of fun and Stephanie even brought along BeeBo the bear to help her with the stories!

Stephanie will be back the second Saturday of March again from 10:30-11:00 so mark your calenders.

Have a great week!

HELP!

I don't do this kind of post very often but I've been struggling with what I think is a pretty common parenting issue and hoping some of you that have been through it before can help. Lucy has been potty training since November and for the most part has it down. Very rarely does she have a potty accident and the pooping thing is FINALLY coming along as well. Problem is NIGHT TIME! The first two weeks she was in underwear, I still had pull-ups and/or diapers on overnight. She was literally DRY almost every day of those first two weeks and then slowly started waking up wetter and wetter (ok, I'm pretty sure that isn't a word but you get my drift). Anyway, I figured she was just getting used to the fact that she could pee in that pull up and was starting to get lazy...GROSS! So last week I told her no more pull ups at night. I've been waking her at least once throughout the night to go potty and I'd say about 75% of the time, she's still having an accident. What do I do? Do I go back to diapers or pull-ups at night? UGH! I don't want to set her up for failure and have her feel bad that she's having so many accidents but I also don't want her to pee in her pull-up just because she is too lazy to go on the toilet! I pretty sure I'm confusing the heck out of her! HELP!

the Girls

This past month has been a crazy one! Isabelle turned FOUR on January 18th and Holly was super momma this year and threw TWO parties for her. She was THRILLED to have her first "kid party" with all her little daycare friends, and then a family party the following weekend. Seriously...could this kid be any cuter?

Although it was a little chaotic with all those kids, they had a blast. The pinata was a big hit. My little Lucy was blindly swingin at that thing. Can you tell I was a little nervous about her hitting something/someone?

So...maybe not the most flattering picture of me but c'mon, that's FUNNY! Hee hee...

Now that the girls are 2 1/2 (almost 3) and 4, they are becoming closer than ever! It's been so fun to watch them grow up together and I'm so happy that they have each other.

Everyone should be lucky enough to have a bestie like this. Oh wait....I do too!

NEW SHOES!

It's hard to believe that Spring is just around the corner! Yesterday that became clear when we received our first of three shipments of See Kai Run Spring shoes. As always, they are ADORABLE! Ever since we first put Lucy and Isabelle in these shoes, we were hooked. They are SO SOFT & FLEXIBLE that I sometimes wish they made them in my size. The one downside to this flexibilty and softness is that the leather didn't alway wear the best but now they've changed that! Here's what they said:
" All See Kai Run & Smaller styles from the Spring 2010 collection forward will be made from our new, stronger leather. This leather has over twice the fiber strength of our old leather while retaining the great look and feel that our customers expect. We are confident that our customers will love the look, feel, and increased durability of our new, stronger leather."

Now check these out....

These are just a few of the cute styles we got in so stop in and check them out. Also...we are expecting See Kai Run's sister line "Eleven" to arrive shortly which will go from sizes 10-12.

Finally, since we received our new pairs, our Fall line will all be marked 40% OFF until they are gone so stop in soon before they are all gone!

"It's truly MAGIC"

A few weeks ago I posted about the new Amber Teething Necklaces that we carry. Since then, I've had so many people ask about them and if the work. I never used one with Lucy so I don't have any personal feedback but have quite a few customers that SWEAR by them. That being said, everytime someone purchases one of the necklaces who seems a bit skeptical about them I give them my card and ask them to let me know how it works. Last week a customer came in asking about them for her little guy that was having teething trouble especially at night. I told her that I have another customer that wraps it around her little guys ankle instead of his neck which might be a good option under footie jammies at night. After debating a bit she decided to try it. Well the next day I got a phone call saying it was their first full night of sleep in weeks! Both of us thought there was a chance it could be a fluke so I asked her to keep me posted. Today, I got this message from her:

Well, it's been a week now and the necklace is truly magic! "T" has been sleeping 7 to 9 hours each night he's worn it. Another interesting story...last Saturday we had his 6 month photos taken at our house. The photographer that took them is a friend and got to witness the magic first hand. We were doing "naked" shots so he didn't have the necklace on his ankle like he always does and he was drooling like a faucet and just staring off into space. No smiles or anything. I decided to put the necklace on his ankle and within 2 mintues, seriously, his drooling had stopped and he was laughing and interacting with us like crazy. It is truly magic!

I'm totally a believer!
