Bellybuds!
If you ask Curtis Williams (creator and co-founder), the inspiration for bellybuds happened during the 2nd trimester of his wife’s pregnancy with their first child.
“We had read that playing prenatal music to the womb was beneficial – so right around the fifth month, my wife began placing her ipod earbuds on her belly and playing classical music for our daughter. The only problem was that in order to do that, she had to lie on her back and couldn’t move – which is a lot to ask of my multi-tasking wife. It seemed like there was a possibility for something more convenient.”
After searching the internet and finding nothing designed specifically for the playing of prenatal music or other sounds from a digital music player to a developing baby in the womb, Curtis decided to pursue the idea. he contacted a friend who was a product designer to help design and engineer the piece. Initially, he asked him to help make a one of a kind product for his wife, but as they worked on the idea and talked about it with others, Curtis realized that the concept might have a broader appeal. That’s when the endeavor began in earnest to create bellybuds!
Hope you all had a great weekend and remember we are now OPEN ON SUNDAYS from noon - 5pm.

Another fun and super functional find at market!
While I was rushing around market a few months ago, this product grabbed my attention while they were doing a demonstration of how it works at their booth. Initially I though...yep, ANOTHER bottle warmer. Until that is, I looked closer. Meet the Kozii Breastmilk warmer & bottle warmer.
◦As fast as steam
◦As safe as warm tap water
◦As easy as the microwave
Kozii is designed specifically to follow CDC and USDA guidelines to safely thaw and warm breastmilk using warm, flowing water.
Kozii uses a low temperature, nutrient-safe water bath that is safe for ALL bottle and bag types. The water in the warmer is about as warm as warm tap water. This allows you to warm your little one's meal without exposing bags and bottles to dangerous steam, hot or boiling water, or the microwave. Kozii uses patent-pending technology, specifically designed to eliminate the risk of hot spots, nutrient damage, and dangerous chemicals that can be released from plastic bottles at high temperatures.
After talking to one of the developers of this product who explained that he came up with this while staying home with his baby girl, I was SOLD. Plus, it didn't hurt that when he was talking about his daughter he got choked up a little. That'll get me every time :)

Where do I begin?
There has been SO MUCH new stuff coming in I'm not sure where to start!
After a friend recommended these last year, I finally got the Elephant Ears in stock yesterday! Check them out....
Unparalleled in style and function, Baby Elephant Ears is a multi-use headrest providing spinal/neck alignment and comfort – offered in diverse prints and organics, ethically manufactured and made with sustainable materials.
Chiropractor-inspired and mom-designed, Baby Elephant Ears can go wherever baby goes – stroller, swing, carseat, changing table, wherever and whenever support is needed. Baby Elephant Ears is fully washable and requires no attachments, straps or special skills – just simple, loving use.
Pretty awesome huh?
If you haven't met all of the Pout "girls" yet, you will soon as they are helping me more and more and I'm so lucky to have them! Crystal, Jana, and Abby will be helping me as we officially will be OPEN ON SUNDAYS from 12-5pm beginning this week!
As we get closer to the holiday season, remember that we have lots of unique toys and gifts that you can't find at the big box stores. This time of year especially, remember to shop local whenever you can. There are so many great local businesses in town that are only around because of the great customers that support them. Remember the powerful motto of the 3/50 Project...Pick 3. Spend 50. Save your local economy.
