How many of you are sick of the mess of plates, bowls, and kids cups that are stashed in your cupboards? They are made from Duralex tempered glass which is 4 to 5 times stronger than standard glass and doesn’t break into sharp shards when it does fail. Apparently it’s so shock-resistant because it’s manufactured through a process of extreme heating and rapid cooling.

They’re 100% recyclable, great in the dishwasher, and microwave-friendly—so no more heating up your child’s food in a ceramic dish, only to transfer it to a plastic one. And, of course, there are no concerns about BPA or other chemical leaching. Finally, I love their retro, no-nonsense design.

If you're skeptical like I was about the durability, I did see a video where a little girl drops both a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice onto a wood floor. Pretty impressive but it was just too cheesy to post!
