Hula Mula!

Kris and I had looked into getting this clothing line several times, but just didn't think it was what we were looking for. We had only seen it online and in catalogs and didn't think it was for us.

We definitely changed our minds in Chicago. We saw this line at one of the boutiques we visited and fell in love. In fact Lucy and Isabelle now have most of the pieces. Ria took Isabelle's pictures in one these outfits. I'm waiting patiently to see them....well, kind of.

Honestly, the pictures do not do these justice - at all! If you have a little girl these are a must see!

Don't forget to come to Pout tomorrow to Trick or Treat before 4pm! We need to get this candy out of here before we eat it all!

Toys, Toys, Toys!

We received new toys today! Plan Toys creates toys that inspire children's imagination as well as promote their physical and intellectual development. They also maintain superior quality standards while following a path of environmental and social responsibility. This is our second shipment of Plan Toys - the first shipment was a success so we brought in some new products.

We also wanted to invite you to the store on Friday to "Trick or Treat." We would love to see your little ones in their costumes. You can come without costumes too! We will be closing early on Friday - at 4pm - so that we are able to take our little ones out!

It's Monday!

This weekend we had the opportunity to have a booth at the Women's Showcase at the FargoDome. It was busy but so great to see some of our existing customers and fun to meet lots of new ones! We also had some little ones (including our little Lucy and Isabelle) in the very first part of the Style Show that they held there. It was pretty adorable even though none of them really walked like they were supposed to....what more can you expect from a bunch of 5 and under kiddos right? Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi :

This morning we were also lucky enough to be featured in live segments on Valley News Live on KVLY. Holly and I had to get our butts out of bed at 3:45am to get here by 5am but we had fun. We were pretty nervous for LIVE tv but everything went pretty smoothly and we've already had a few new customers in today because of it so it was definitley worth it! With all the day to day work and just life in general we forget how passionate we are about our "Pout" so it's nice to have time to talk about why we do what we do.

So, enough about us....

We have a few things to tell you today. First, all of our Daily Tea is now 25% off so stop in to pick up some fall & winter outfits for your little ones. This line is also a great holiday gift idea since everything is mix and match. We have some great new lines coming in so we need to make room! I know its not even Halloween yet but trust me, Christmas will be here before you know it!

We also received our Sophie the Giraffe teethers today. We LOVE these adorable things and have been waiting for what seems like forever to get them in. Not only are they great teethers but they are also a great sensory toy for babies. It stimulates all of babies five senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. Of course it doesn't hurt that they are ADORABLE either.

Our heads are spinning!

Here's where Holly and I were this past week....

Chicago's Merchandise Mart - Stylemax Show 2008

It was a quick trip but we had so much fun. We were able to visit our friend Rita for some "girl time" but mostly spent our days exploring all the fun new product lines for next Spring! We are so excited about all the fun things we have coming in! In addition to our sizes expanding up to 4T in January, we are also adding some great new lines that we hope you all love as much as we do. On another note, we want to say thank you to my mom Marilyn for watching the store while we were gone. We don't know what we would do without you!

Now we are busy getting ready for Women's Showcase at the FargoDome this Saturday. If you plan on attending, be sure to stop in and say hi. We also have some adorable kiddies in the first part of the fashion show at noon so it should be an exciting day!

Fuzzibunz - Price Reduction!

We recently heard from our Fuzzibunz distributor that we will be getting a price break when ordering diapers. We want to pass the savings along to you - Fuzzibunz will now be $17.95 per diaper - a two dollar savings per diaper! We will be offering .50 cents off per diaper when you buy six or more and $1.00 off per diaper when you buy 12 or more!

Allen's Naturally

Pout is now carrying Allen's Naturally detergent. Allen's Naturally is a biodegradable detergent free of dyes, perfumes, and harsh chemicals. I used this on Isabelle's cloth diapers and it works wonderfully. I still use it on all of her clothes because of her sensitive skin. We are selling the 32oz bottle and it sells for $16.00. When using this detergent on cloth diapers you only need to use 2 teaspoons - it will last you an incredibly long time!

We also wanted to let everyone know that we just got word from our BumGenius rep that we will not be receiving the new colors until November!! UGH....I know, we are bummed too. We will be sure to post it on our blog as soon as they arrive.

Lucy and Isabelle

The one and only downside of Kris and I owning Pout together is that our girls aren't able to spend near as much time together as they used to. Since one of us is always at the store it is much harder to spend time together outside of work. It is definitely worth it, but still something we miss! On Sunday night, we were able to get together for some fun. The girls had their all time favorite meal - mac 'n cheese - and then got to paint!

It started out innocently enough...

Lucy decided that body art was WAY more fun and Isabelle couldn't be left out so she tried it too.

After the painting we let the girls dig out another pumpkin so that we could carve it. Okay, so maybe we made Luke do the carving. Lucy thought it was great. Isabelle, on the other hand, grabbed one handful and decided she would let Lucy handle the rest.

We don't generally let our girls sit on top of the kitchen table for obvious safety reasons, but we promise, we were standing right next to them!

They ended the night with a bath and a little more playing before Lucy and Kris headed home. It is so much fun to watch the girls play together. They absolutely adore each other and we are so glad. That's not to say they play perfectly 10o% of the time. Isabelle may have practically tackled Lucy before the night ended to get her away from her doll stroller and Lucy has maybe attempted to bite Isabelle on occasion, but 99% of the time they are best buddies! When Isabelle woke up this morning the first thing out of her mouth was, "I had so much fun with Lucy."

HOLY HATS!!!

Yes, we received even more hats today and they are so darn cute! Take a look at a few of these...

Aren't they just the cutest? We have many more to choose from! Unfortunately it's getting to be that time of the year that requires our little ones to wear hats so come on in and check these out. We will also have some chenille Santa and Reindeer hats which are perfect for any outdoor Holiday card pics!

New stuff!!

Our long awaited Zutano shipment arrived today and we couldn't be more excited. Their cozie line for fall/winter is SO comfy and adorable we can hardly stand it! Not to mention the fun jester and bear ear hats in fun colors. We also received more of the popular striped elf hats that so many of you have been looking for!


For all of you cloth diaper mommies & daddies, our shipment of Fuzzi Bunz which included some new colors in size Medium including yellow, aqua and orange, along with three fun prints arrived today as well. Stop in and check them out if you are looking to add some new colors to your collection. The new BumGenius colors are on their way and should arrive sometime later this week or early next. I know a lot of you have been waiting to see them so we will keep you posted when they arrive.


We will be receiving new product almost daily this week so keep checking the blog to see what arrives.


I also wanted to say a special thanks to our my friend Bonnie who stopped in with our youngest "customer" yet....her 4 day old little Brady. I wish I could have captured him on film but didn't have a camera available! Thanks so much for sharing him with me. He is precious.
