Bundle me's are back!

I know it's an unfortunate sign of Summer ending but it's time once again for us to get ready for all those Fall & Winter babies! The JJ Cole Bundle me is such a great product and thankfully, now that they offer a more streamlined look with their Urban line. The line features fun, vibrant colors and a nice weather resistant outer shell that is easy to clean.

Stay tuned for their new Arctic version which should arrive mid-September as well!
Now to switch gears a little.
I wanted to let everyone know about an AWESOME opportunity taking place at Jenny Craig centers next Tuesday, September 1st! They are having a National Open House from 8am-8pm as well as offering 1/2 off their lifetime membership and $100 in FREE food! My favorite girls at the Fargo & Grand Forks centers are honoring this promo now up until the 1st so if it's something you've been considering, now is the time! I just had to share because it's too good NOT to. If you have questions, you can call any of the girls at 701-277-0321.
Now everyone go and have a great weekend!

Every toddler needs one of these cute packs. It even has banana zipper pulls and an insulated front pocket for snacks. If monkeys aren't your thing, they also come in a mouse, puppy, and penguin.

NEW STUFF

Today we received so many things I don't know where to start! First, we FINALLY received our shipment of pettiskirts that we've been waiting for what seems like FOREVER. Not only did we get the two toned light pink/raspberry style in but we also received ivory for the first time which is beautiful and will definitely be great for fall pictures.

Sophie the Giraffe is back in stock! This teether/toy is definitely a customer favorite and I almost always have a waiting list for these when they are out of stock. I'm happy to say she is back on the shelves waiting for some good homes.

Girl lines Kit + Lili and Hula Mula arrived today as well! Hopefully I will have access to images soon but I sold 3 dresses today straight out of the box so stop in and check these out! Along with the cute dresses, we also received some fun hats for girls. It's hard to believe we'll need these soon but now we're ready for it!

And finally.....the new styles of Babylegs! Including their new footless tights! Next month we will get another shipment along with their footed tights which are new as well. Lots of old favorites arrived but also some great new prints for boys!

There's more but I'll save it for tomorrow. Have a great day!

Elmo's Green Thumb

On August 1st, Holly, Isabelle, Lucy, and I along with some lucky customers got the opportunity to see Elmo's Green Thumb at the Fargodome! Because we were sponsors of the event, not only were we able to attend the meet and greet with our girls but we also got to give away tickets to some of our wonderful customers. It was so much fun to watch the kids have such a good time.

Unlike my Lucy, Isabelle was SUPER EXCITED to sit on Cookie's lap.

The cotton candy was much more interesting to Lucy. She had the whole
bag finished before the show even started!

I hate to brag but our customers are pretty darn cute (mommies and daddies included of course)!

This last little guy had such a trooper of a daddy. He chased that little guy around and stuck it out until the very end.

We missed one more who must've been entertaining her group of girls while I was running around taking pictures but we hope that Cindy and her girls (she brought four!) had a great time too.

All in all, it was a great day and I think Lucy and Isabelle had a blast. Even though Lucy was a little scared of Cookie monster, she still talks about how soft he was and how much fun she had. She even bragged to all of her daycare buddies first thing Monday morning. Funny thing that she happened to leave out the part where she was terrified of Cookie!
Have a great week everyone!

shoe love

One of the only good things about summer coming to an end is that our Fall shoes & clothing has started to arrive! Yesterday we received our new shipment of See Kai Run shoes and they are so darn cute I can hardly stand it! Here is just a glimse.....

Seriously...how can you not be in love with these?
I also wanted to mention that we still have some of our Spring/Summer shoes left and they are on sale for 40% off so stop in and grab a pair for next summer.

skincare stories

As any of you regular customers know, we've tried a few skincare lines in our last year of business. All of them natural (or at least that's the "claim"). As we become a little more knowledgable in this area, we've realized that you can't always trust what the company claims to be true. Yes, this seems obvious but I guess we were a little naive in thinking that companies couldn't flat out lie about the type of ingredients in their products. Not to say that the brands we have carried are not good products. They have all been good products and all had their share of loyal followers. However, we want to carry products that we can feel confident are the best for our customers.

Earth muffin is one brand that we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I, along with MANY customers, swear by the diaper rash ointment. Not only is it safe to use with cloth diapers but it truly is the BEST stuff I've ever used on Lucy. Holly tried the new bug spray stick and spray on Isabelle and can't say enought good things about it. We plan to expand our inventory to include some type of body wash and shampoo soon so stay tuned to our blog for that. I suppose it doesn't hurt that we happen to LOVE Natalie, the creator of Earth Muffin, who lives right here in Fargo! She works hard to find the perfect combinations for her all natural line all while taking care of her three painfully adorable kids.

The new line that arrived this week is Trukid. Not only is this a totally safe and natural product (The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has awarded TruKid's entire line the safety rating of 0-3! THE SAFEST RATING of all kid's skin care lines!), they focus not only on great skincare but healthy habits for your children. Their website http://www.trukid.com/ even has some great resources to get your kids excited about adopting healthy habits including some fun songs and checklists. Oh, and did I mention that it costs nearly HALF of some of the more popular boutique brands!!! This is truly a product you can use on a daily basis without breaking the bank.

Stop in and check these lines out if you are looking for safe, natural products that will take care of your little one's skin the way you want it to.
Hope to see you soon!

Kidishes

How many of you are sick of the mess of plates, bowls, and kids cups that are stashed in your cupboards? Nothing matches, nothing stacks, most of it looks old and worn after just a few weeks and that's not to mention the fact that who knows what chemicals are in the plastic. That is why Kidishes is such a great product! Moms everywhere today are looking for an alternative to plastic dishes. First, you have the concern about BPA. And secondly, they’re a pain because you can’t microwave with them. But the solution to all that is clear—as clear as glass, in fact. And don't worry about the glass breaking into a million pieces every time your little one decides to throw it on the floor. They are made from Duralex tempered glass which is 4 to 5 times stronger than standard glass and doesn’t break into sharp shards when it does fail. Apparently it’s so shock-resistant because it’s manufactured through a process of extreme heating and rapid cooling.

They’re 100% recyclable, great in the dishwasher, and microwave-friendly—so no more heating up your child’s food in a ceramic dish, only to transfer it to a plastic one. And, of course, there are no concerns about BPA or other chemical leaching. Finally, I love their retro, no-nonsense design.
If you're skeptical like I was about the durability, I did see a video where a little girl drops both a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice onto a wood floor. Pretty impressive but it was just too cheesy to post!
Happy Monday....hope to see you soon!

Our husband.

As most of you know, Holly and I are not only business partners but best friends and have been for years. We've been through so much together and Luke, Holly's hubby, has been dragged through most of it along with us. He sometimes jokes that he feels like he has two wives (but that's usually only when he's mad at us. :)

I was in their wedding (well, personal attendant, does that count?). Holly and I kept each other company during Lukes deployment to Iraq just six months after their wedding! They were at my wedding in the Bahamas. We cried (ok Holly and I cried) when they moved to SD. I was there the first night (yes the FIRST night, what was I thinking?) they brought Isabelle home from the hospital. Then they moved back just in time to be there for me through my divorce and best of all the arrival of my Lucy. Oh....and then there was that whole year that Holly and I worked tirelessly on opening our own business.

April 2005 - try to ignore our shiny faces!

Yes, Luke had been there through it all (well most of it anyway) and although sometimes we gang up on him, he truly is a good friend to me and a wonderful husband and father to Holly and Isabelle. He even treats Lucy like one of his own when she's around and she loves him too. Or in her words...."I lub luke".

Halloween - 2008

You're probably wondering why I'm telling you this right? Well, unfortunately tomorrow we will say goodbye to Luke as he will be leaving for Kosovo with the Ntl Guard for the next year. Like I said before, he's been deployed before so this is not a new challenge for them as a couple. This time however will be a little different because he will not just be leaving Holly behind but Isabelle as well. I will be there for them just like Holly as always been there for me & Lucy and they will get through this but it will be a tough year. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Holly, Luke, and Isabelle will be skyping as much as possible to keep in touch and hopefully the year will go by quickly. Lots of sleepovers for Isabelle and Lucy will keep them occupied and give us our much needed "girl time".

We all love you and will miss you Luke....now hurry up and go so you can get back here safely!

They're here, they're here!

When new products first hit the market there is usually a delay from when they SAY it will be on the shelves and when it actually arrives. This is sometimes frustrating but the products that we received today were definitely worth the wait! From the same company that brings us the AWESOME Safe Sippy and Safe Sippy 2, we received the brand new Safe Sporter water bottle and the Safe Starter baby bottles! Yep, like their wonderful sippy, these are made with food grade stainless steel. No BPA, no phthalates, no more plastic bottles choking our planet. The sport bottle is for your toddler or child that is too big for a sippy (or at least thinks they're too big) and wants more of a "big kid" bottle. It has a pull top spout with a great cover that flips open but stays attached so it doesn't get lost. With a wide opening it fits ice cubes easily for these summer days and holds up to 16 oz.

These adorable bottles come in both 5oz and 9oz.

I thought I had made up my mind that I would use glass the next time around but these definitely will be something I'd try!
Also, with this HOT weather, I wanted to let you all know that we are extending our SUPERGOOP sale ....... that's 40% off!!!! This stuff is amazing...especially the bug spray/sunscreen "all in one" spray which is my favorite. There is still sunny weather ahead and you need your little ones protected so why not do it with a great organic product like Supergoop!

calling all our cloth diaper peeps....

As most of you know, cloth diapers pretty much NEVER go on sale. The mark up on diapers is so slim that offering discounts isn't possible but BumGenius is offering it's retailers a promo and we want to pass it along to you! Their promo is buy 6 diapers, get one free!!!! YES, ONE FREE! Let me again stress to you how THIS NEVER HAPPENS! The catch is that each retailer is only allotted a certain amount of these freebies so if you are interested, you need to act fast. Call me at the store (701)356-POUT (7688) or email me at kris@poutbabyboutique.com if you are interested in this promo. Again, you need to purchase six diapers to receive one for FREE!

We currently have all colors available so let me know what you think. On top of the promo, we will also still be honoring our usual bulk discounts of buy 6 or more to get $.50 off per diaper or buy 12 or more to receive a $1 off per diaper.
I also wanted to thank everyone who had the time to swing into our sale last Friday and Saturday. It was so FUN to see all of you!
Have a great week!
